Subscription Settings - General

Setting

Description

Display Name

The display name of the subscription. This is directly editable by admins in the subscription.

Time Zone

The time zone that the subscription is set to. Changing this requires all events to be reprocessed for the sub - which will make data unavailable for up to a few days if there is a lot of data.

Enabled Login Methods

This indicates which login methods are currently available for your account but not enforced.

Username & Password - This is the default login method - where a user sets a 'local' Pendo password.

Google G-Suite - If the user's email in Pendo is a Google email account, they can use Google SSO to sign in to Pendo.

SAML SSO - Setting up SAML requires an OPS ticket to be created. This allows people to sign in using SAML providers like Okta.

Roles and Permissions Version

As the name suggests, indicates whether the subscription is utilizing current vs. legacy Roles and Permissions. See Roles and Permissions Overview.

Log remote addresses

Allows the recording of IP addresses and geolocation by Pendo servers.

By default, Pendo logs the IP address of end-users in the raw events that are sent to Pendo. For privacy reasons, we are able to turn this off.

Require HTTPS Access

This flag means that users must use an HTTPS URL when accessing the designer.

Text Capture in Web Applications

By default, Pendo captures text on a page to help with feature identification. If this can be turned off by either disabling this setting - or by setting the appropriate flag in the installation snippet.

Obscure Staging Server Names

Staging server names can be seen in the agent code that is pulled into the page when Pendo runs. If a customer needs to obscure those server names, this setting can be enabled.

Show Anonymous Visitor Data

This toggles on/off whether data from Pendo-generated anonymous IDs is shown in the subscription. If it is enabled, and the customer is using anonymous IDs in areas of their application, this can cause the MAU count to increase.

Enable email functionality

This flag is set when a user enables Email backup for NPS.

Do not use data for internal Pendo analysis

As the name suggests, indicates whether the data collected by the sub can be utilized for Pendo’s internal analytics.

Click Event Properties

By default, this setting is Disabled and can only be enabled by a Subscription Admin or a Pendo guest user.  Enabling this feature allows Feature Tags to be augmented to collect property state information on the page at the time of a click event.  For more information, review the related help documentation.

Maximum Session Length

This is the session duration before a sign-in is required.

Monthly Active Users - Application Unique Users

This plan counts each visitor on a subscription without eliminating redundant MAUs across multiple applications. This means that if a user uses two different applications on a single subscription, they are  counted twice

Monthly Active Users - Subscription Unique Users

This plan counts any visitor in multiple applications on a single subscription once and eliminates redundant MAUs across applications. This means that if a user uses two different applications on a single subscription, they are counted once.

The selection marked as (Contracted MAU) indicates which plan you're on.
