Overview
Pendo provides critical insight to businesses when correlated with other data sources. To achieve this, Pendo partnered with Fivetran to make it easier for customers to extract, transform, load (or ETL) Pendo data into a data warehouse such as Redshift.
Requirements
To use this integration, you will need the following access:
- Pendo API Access to generate an integration key
- Fivetran (Extract, Transform, Load or ETL tool) Account Access
- AWS Redshift (Data Warehouse) Access
Setup Pendo for Fivetran
After you generate a Pendo Integration Key, log into Fivetran and click on the “+ Connector” button in the upper right-hand corner. Search for “Pendo” as your option and follow the Fivetran connector setup process outlined in their documentation.

Once you have a successful connection test, you’re ready to setup your data warehouse, like Redshift, for Fivetran.

Setup Redshift for Fivetran
Follow Fivetran’s documentation on setting up Redshift as your data warehouse destination.
After the configuration is completed, you should see the Pendo data sync start in Fivetran Redshift automatically. When the sync is completed, you will receive an email confirmation.

Using Fivetran + Redshift
After the data sync, you will be able to query data you’re looking for similar to traditional SQL databases. From here, can even push the data into a Business Intelligence (BI) tool as you desire.
