Will I get duplicate requests?
When requests are added by your internal teams and visitors, any matching or similar requests will be shown. Our algorithm matches keywords in the request title and description, ensuring a comprehensive set of similar requests is surfaced here.
Additionally, you can include a section in your Product Feedback Policy encouraging your visitors to vote on existing requests, and to add any additional detail or different use cases in the comments section. Remind them that requests with more votes are more likely to bubble up in your reports and therefore to be considered by your product team.
I have a duplicate request. What do I do?
While the search at the point of request submission dramatically reduces duplicates, they do happen now and again.
The best way to deal with this is to merge requests.
Remember you can also use your Similarity Report to help surface any potential duplicates.
