Playbooks allow you to upload existing go-to-market documentation and use it as context for recommended actions in Predict. After you publish and link a playbook to a model, the recommended action agent uses the uploaded content to suggest next best actions that align with your workflows.
What Playbooks do
Playbooks provide structured context to the recommended action agent. For example, if an account is identified as high churn risk, the agent can reference your churn playbook to suggest actions such as scheduling a call or sending a follow-up email.
You can:
- Upload existing documentation, such as PDFs, documents, or presentations
- Manage draft and published versions of a playbook
- Share playbooks with other Predict users
Link published playbooks to specific models
Create a new Playbook
Follow these steps to create and publish a new playbook.
- Login to Predict.
In the left navigation menu, go to Sources > Playbooks.
- Select New playbook.
- Enter a Name for the playbook.
- (Optional) Enter a Description.
- Select Next.
- Upload files by dragging and dropping them into the upload area, or select files from your computer.
- Supported file types include PDFs, documents, and presentations.
Each file must be 20 MB or smaller.
- Wait for the files to finish uploading and scanning.
- Select Next.
Select Publish.
After you publish, the playbook enters a processing state. When processing is complete, the playbook becomes available for linking to a model.
Manage an existing Playbook
From the Playbooks list page, you can:
- View the number of files in each playbook
- See when the playbook was last updated and by whom
- Check the playbook status
- Select the options menu to share or delete a playbook
Share a playbook
Sharing a playbook allows additional Predict users to access and edit it.
- In Sources > Playbooks, locate the playbook.
- Open the options menu.
- Select Share.
Delete a playbook
Deleting a playbook permanently removes it and unlinks it from any associated models.
- In Sources > Playbooks, locate the playbook.
- Open the options menu.
- Select Delete.
- Confirm the deletion.
Warning: This action can’t be undone. Deleting a playbook also removes it as context from any linked models.
Manage files within a Playbook
Open a playbook to manage its files and versions.
Inside a playbook, you can:
- Upload additional files
- Rename files
- Download files
- Delete files
When you add or remove files, changes are saved in a draft version. The published version remains unchanged until you select Publish again.
To apply changes:
- Open the playbook.
- Upload, rename, or delete files as needed.
- Review the pending changes in the draft version.
- Select Publish to overwrite the published version.
After you publish, the playbook enters processing. When processing is complete, the updated version becomes active.
If needed, you can discard draft changes before publishing.
Link a Playbook to a model
After a playbook is published, you can link it to a model so it’s used by the recommended action agent.
- Go to the project that contains your analysis/model.
- Open the analysis/model you want to update.
- Go to the Simulations tab.
- Open a record from the model output.
- In the recommended actions or explain widget, select Edit next to recommended actions.
- In the Playbook field, select a published playbook.
- Select Save.
The selected playbook now serves as context for the recommended action agent for that model.
