NPS Permalinks

I'm running a very experimental one time only in-app NPS guide but currently do not want to run the in app +email option.  Instead, I want to run the in-app email and then at a certain point send an email to those within the original segment who have not accessed the app since the guide was activated.  Can I simply send them a permalink to the NPS guide at that point?  And if yes, if they submit a score/response using the permalink will Pendo recognize that the guide is not complete and NOT open that guide again and allow them to take it a second time?  Or if I send them the link in an email but in the meantime they enter the app and complete the in-app guide will the permalink no longer work?
