Exploring Pendo Feedback for my organization

Hi everyone,

Pleasure being a part of the community. I've been using Pendo for my organization for the last few months & we're now exploring switching over to Pendo Feedback as our feedback platform.

I read through Pendo's website material but couldn't find how the platform looks from a user's perspective. I also couldn't find any examples of how other brands have used Pendo Feedback. I was wondering if anyone here from the community would be open to sharing how their platform looks for their users + how their users go about accessing the platform?

  • Because Pendo uses Pendo itself, their Resource Center experience for leaving feedback is Pendo Feedback and gives you a good sense for the experience as an external user (both in the Resource Center and when you open it in a new tab). Your options for giving access to your users are strictly through the Resource Center (yay segmentation) or as an aside-type widget that flies out from the right of the screen :) we also had explored a way to force Feedback to only open as a new tab without opening in the Resource Center. The only downside to that is if a user logs out in Feedback, you cannot redirect them back into your product/somewhere else, so they end on a Pendo-branded page that may be confusing to the user.

  • Thanks for your response, Liz. Now that's the tricky part for us - we don't use the Resource Center on our app (we already have an in-app widget which we don't want to replace), so the only way for us to lead users to Pendo Feedback is via a new tab (we will embed the link in our existing in-app widget).

I was wondering if I could see how the new tab looks for your brand, just for me to understand what users would see & what visual/branding elements & menu options I can customize.

  • We haven't implemented it to show to customers but you can select the primary color (which would replace the dark gray-black Pendo uses as the left nav background), the button color, the tab's favicon, and logo that displays in top left corner of the screen.

  • Got it, thanks for that! And would you know what all options users see in the left navigation?

  • You'd have the option to show a Releases tab and/or What's Coming just like Pendo does, or only the Dashboard where a user can look at what they're suggested and voted on.
