How do you interpret "Webkit" in browser usage?

Hello Pendo Users!

I'm new to Pendo so lovely to e-meet you all!

I'm writing to ask how you interpret the "Webkit" browser.  A quick google search indicates that it may be Safari, MacOS, Windows, Linux, Chrome before blink or BlackBerry's browser.

How would you interpret Webkit in this graph?

Thanks!!

    Webkit is the browser engine used by Safari and all other iOS apps that offer web browsing/access.

  • Thanks for the reply! Erica Akroyd

    There's also the 5% of users using Safari so would you say Webkit is different as it's native?
    I'm not quite sure I understand the difference.  How would you interpret these users are accessing your software?

  • I'm not an expert, but my understanding is:

    * WebKit is a web rendering engine/library
    * Safari is a web browser, which uses WebKit for rendering
