Repeated Guide alert message is not stopped after account metadata update using engage API for used guide segment.
Problem statement - We want to stop displaying guide message to targeted users in segment after user metadata update using engage API.
Currently We are displaying guided message to users based on account information and it is working as expected.
guide message is displayed repeatedly to user after every 2 hours however we want to disable the message display to some users.
We updated user account information using pendo engage api so that those users should not see guide however those users are still getting guide message.
how we can stop showing guide message for some users without re-initializing the pendo in our web application?

Yes. metadata attribute used for guide is present in guides target segment as a filter.
