Display Badge based on condition in another element

I have a scenario where I would like to display one of two different badge-activated guides next a targeted element (a button on the page) based on a condition of another element on the page. The other element on the page is a form that may either be in a disabled or active state. If the form is active I want badge/guide A to display, and if inactive, badge/guide B. Considering that the badge's settings are tied to step 1, I don't see any way to do this out-the-box. I've took a look at the guide-related scripts available in github and don't see a workable option there bcz my guide is simply a tooltip and all the scripts appear to be related to advance guides with multiple steps. Has anyone overcome a similar scenario? Is there a solution to this, custom or otherwise?
