Is it okay to remove Custom Metadata ?

We created a custom metadata field previously called Account Name that we were manually populating through the API as our dev team was not sending this information to the snippet directly. 

We have since implemented sending this information to the snippet and have this information in two fields (name & Account Name).  I would like to delete the custom metadata field from Pendo but I didn’t know if there would be any repercussions to doing that.

  It should be fine to remove the custom metadata field, but make sure to check that you are not using the custom field for any sort of guide or report segmenting as this will cause reporting issues.
