I am looking to track how long my site stays open throughout the day. We are currently tracking active sessions but would like to see how long it takes for someone to actually close our site.

We do have Time on Site which does track how long the session is before closing. Have you checked out the following articles or can you clarify what you're specifically looking for?
Howard Lio, thank you for your response. Correct me if I am wrong; Time on Site only tracks active time in the app. We are looking to track simply how long our app is open in the browser, whether it is an active session or just a session that remains open until the tab is closed or the browser is closed.
For example, I keep our site open all day but return to it a handful of times each day to take action. At the end of the day, I close it. I want to track how long I kept our site open each day regardless if I am active on the site or not.
Thank you Jaala Seifipour for the clarification - I understand the difference now since you're looking the time an app session is open regardless if there is activity or not.
Unfortunately then, we do not have a great way to track sessions when they close an app session. We have specific ways to track active time on site if users have multiple sessions and tabs, but not specifically for your use case.
Sorry but this may be something you can share in our Feedback instance about why you want to see this type of tracking.

Could you use a track event within unload to capture when the tab/app is closed? More a question for Pendo.
