Guide with a lot of repeat views

I have a guide showing a lot of repeat views, but the the time on guide is showing "--". I'm using the JS to delay the start of the guide, which i believe means the guide will render, but not display until the set amount of time. Could this be why I'm getting so many repeat view with the user not actually spending time on the guide or dismissing it?
