Staging Guides when Staging env is same domain as Prod?
My company has recently implemented Pendo in our application, and have a couple guides created and made public to our users.
Now we are in the process of taking this from a Proof of Concept to a standardized process for the rest of our agile dev teams.
We have a 'staging' environment, but it uses the same domain as the production environment, and is only differentiated by the subdirectory, e.g. :
- my.domain.com/staging
- my.domain.com/prod
From what I can tell, the "Staging" environments that can be specified in Pendo settings, for use with the "Staged" Guide status, expects that we have a fully separate domain for staging.
Am I correct is this assessment? Is there any way for us to make use of the staging process within Pendo?

If you tag the pages of staging and production, you should be able to target your guides by page, then set live to test. You'd need to ensure that the page is specific to the staging URL every time, and could also use segmentation to ensure that you're not publishing to customers.
