  Hello Unal,

  Thank you for posting your question on our community discussion forum. My name is Darshan, and I'm part of the Technical Success team at Pendo.

  Let me advise you on this matter. The Report end point that is mentioned in our Engage API works with Visitor or Account reports that have been created in your subscription and unfortunately, Paths, Funnels, and Data Explore reports and their contents are not available via the "Return Report Contents" requests and attempting to request those reports will result in the error you described above.

  To ensure a smooth resolution, could you kindly ensure that all the points outlined below are met?

  • Please ensure that you are making requests to the Report's endpoint using either the visitor report ID or the account report ID.
  • Be sure to use the correct report ID in the endpoint URL when making your request. As illustrated in the screenshot for example, you can find the report ID by navigating to People > Visitors > Visitors Report, and then selecting any visitor report:

  • Additionally, when I tested using a Python script for visitor report, I was able to retrieve the report content in CSV format, as demonstrated below:

  Please try to ensure that all the above points are met. If you still encounter any issues, could you please answer the following questions:

  • Are you using a visitor report or account report, and make sure it's not Paths, Funnels, and Data Explore reports?
  • Are you including the correct report ID in the API endpoint URL in your Python script?
  • Additionally, please share a screenshot of the script you are running.
