Resource Center Integration w/ Atlassian ServiceDesk

Our support team uses JIRA to manage support tickets. We currently have a Resource Center option (a simple code snippet) that provides a hyperlink, which opens the Service Desk dashboard in Atlassian where users can submit new and view open tickets.

Is there a way to integrate the Atlassian service desk with the Resource center, similar to how the Zendesk integration works? Ultimately, we would also like to display badges when support tickets are changed to a status that requires follow-up/action from the end user.  

I see that there are integrations available with JIRA/Atlassian, but they do not seem to fit the use case that I am trying to address.
