Can you make a Badge without a Guide?
I wanted a Badge to appear in my app for a segmented audience without a Guide.
PENDO says "No, badges are always associated with a guide."
I found a workaround:
- Start with a Tooltip, go to Activation, configure your Badge, and click Done.
- Configure the guide: Guide Container > Styling > Theme = Custom
- Set all dimension fields for Padding, Border and Drop Shadow to 0 px
- Disable Caret, Backdrop, and Close Button
- On the Guide preview, Click in the box “+ Click to Add Content”
- Select Text , Delete all Sample text in the Guide Content box
- Go back to the guide preview and click to Edit Container
- Scroll down to Background color and Enter #00000000 (8x0); This will set the Guide background to ‘transparent’
The guide is now invisible and does not affect your app on Click or Hover.
