Company Profile gives Predict agents information about your business, including what you sell, who your customers are, and how you go to market. Predict uses this information to tailor recommendations and generated content to your business.
This article explains how Company Profile is created, how Predict uses it, how to review and edit it, and how to regenerate it.
Requirements
- A Pendo Predict account with admin access
How Predict uses your Company Profile
Every Predict agent receives your Company Profile as context and uses it to tailor its output to your business instead of relying on generic recommendations.
- The Predict Agent uses your profile to tailor save plans, draft copy, and next-best-action recommendations to your industry, customer personas, and use cases.
- The Data Science Agent uses your profile to tailor predictor recommendations to your business model. For example, recommendations may differ for product-led and enterprise sales organizations.
The more complete and accurate your profile is, the more relevant agent responses can be.
How it works
Predict creates your Company Profile automatically after your subscription is set up. It uses your company's website, based on the domain Pendo has on record, to generate the initial content for each section. You don't need to provide any information before agents can begin using it.
If some sections are incomplete or missing, agents continue to work using the information that's available.
Your profile as a whole, not each individual section, has one of the following statuses:
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Generating | Your profile is being generated for the first time. |
| Auto-generated | Your profile was generated automatically and no manual edits have been made. |
| Edited | An admin has saved at least one manual change to the profile. |
View your Company Profile
Go to Settings.
Select the Company Profile tab.
The profile status appears at the top of the page next to the title.
Sections in your profile
Company Profile includes six default sections:
| Section | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Overview | What your company does and the products or services it provides. |
| Business & Pricing | Your business model and pricing structure, such as subscriptions, usage-based pricing, or annual contracts. |
| Products | The products or solutions your company offers. |
| Personas | The primary customer personas you serve. |
| Use Cases | The main problems your customers solve with your product. |
| Domain Vocabulary | Product, business, or industry-specific terms and acronyms. |
Each section includes the sources used to generate it, typically pages from your company's website. After you edit a section, its source changes to show that it's been edited manually.
Note: You can't delete the default sections. You can add your own sections. For more information, see Add a custom section.
Edit a section
- From the Company Profile tab, select Edit.
- Edit the section text.
- Select Save or Cancel to discard your changes.
After you save your changes, Predict uses the updated Company Profile when generating future responses.
Note: You can't rename the default section titles. You can rename custom sections that you create.
Add a custom section
- Select Edit.
- Select + Add section.
- Enter a title and content for the new section.
- Select Save.
Unlike the default sections, custom sections can be deleted.
Regenerate your profile
Regenerating replaces your entire Company Profile with a newly generated version. You can't regenerate individual sections.
- From the Company Profile tab, select Regenerate.
- A confirmation dialog appears because regeneration overwrites your manual changes. Select Continue to regenerate your profile or Cancel to keep your current version. If you want to keep your edits, copy them before continuing.
The Any additional context to improve the result? field is pre-filled with the prompts Predict uses to generate each section. Edit this text if you want to change the focus of one or more sections.
- Optionally, add one or more URLs under Additional source URLs if you want Predict to consider pages that weren't included in the original website scan.
- Select Generate.
- After regeneration is complete, agents use the new Company Profile for future responses.
