User Role Data Capture
I am using a guide to deliver a user satisfaction survey. My initial step of the guide is to ask the user to select their role via a multi choice poll. Can that data we mapped as meta data for that unique user so that I don't have to ask the role question ever quarter I execute my survey. Or so i can use it for other analytics and segmentation.

you can do this by using a custom code block to capture the poll response and send it to a custom metadata field at the visitor level https://github.com/pendo-io/snippets/tree/master/guides/guidePolls/submitPollResponseAsMetadata
Is there another way to capture user roles for the purpose of targeting role-based content?
