Reports not working cross-app for parts of the UX that are tagged within the same pendo application
My company's web app collects payments for things like property taxes, trash collection, or parking tickets. Our users journey across three different parts of our application while trying to complete the task of making the payment. The three parts are:
- A: a landing page (tagged under our default app)
- B: an authentication page (also tagged under our default app)
- C: our main web app (also tagged under our default app)
We have installed the same snippet on each of these parts, all pointing at the default app API key. I see usage data coming in for any individual page or feature if I am looking at the page or feature individually in Pendo.
My issue is that if I try to run a funnel or a path report, I only see the data coming in on whatever the first page/feature is selected in the report. I cannot see the full user journey or understand conversion between A and B, or A and C, or even B and C. Even when 'cross app' analysis is turned on (which I don't believe it should have to be), I get the same result. What do I have set up incorrectly that won't allow me to capture that full journey?

is the visitor ID being passed in to Pendo the same across all of these parts? That may be why you don't see them strung together
Ah! I meant to come back and post an update. My team did confirm that the visitor id is not persisting across the snippets as it should. I have a ticket out to my eng to update this. When we made the last snippet update I didn't anticipate visitor IDs not persisting because it's never been an issue before. I believe this will resolve the issue.
