How to prevent users with multiple accounts see the same guides over and over?
I work for an an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) serving franchisees who often manage multiple locations. Our clients, log in with a single email address but can switch between different Accounts within our platform, they can login with the same email to see "franchise Location #1" - or they can log in to "franchise locartion #2". This keep candidates/jobs organized per location for them.
Currently, our Pendo guides and polls are appearing for these users every time they switch accounts. This is causing two main issues:
-
User Friction: Clients are frustrated by seeing the same pop-ups/polls multiple times every time they switch to another account/location.
-
Data Integrity: Users are able to submit the same poll multiple times because Pendo treats them as a new visitor for each account.
Is there a way to configure segmentation so that if a specific Email (or any trait / Metadata) has seen or dismissed a guide in one account, it is suppressed for that same email across all other accounts? Is there a way to do this?
Looking forward to your guidance on best practices to help users with multiple accounts seeing the same guides over and over.

We run into this because when our internal users change accounts in one product, their visitor ID changes as well. Is this what happens to yours also? Could you add segment rules to only include users if they have never clicked the submit button for the poll or a similar button (or buttons) on the pop-ups?
