This article describes how to use the CEO Dashboard in the Feedback Metrics page to view analytics on engagement and measures of success with Pendo Feedback. All tabs in the Metrics page provide counts, but the CEO Dashboard tells you how much time and money you've saved as a result.
The Metrics page
The CEO Dashboard belongs to the Feedback Metrics page, which you can access from the left-side menu in Feedback.
The Feedback Metrics page consists of five tabs to help you understand request volume, logins, engagement (votes and prioritization), which requests have been fulfilled, and how much money you’re saving with Pendo Feedback.
For an overview of all five tabs, see the Internal view of Pendo Feedback article.
The CEO Dashboard
The CEO Dashboard is the fifth tab on the Metrics page, which you can access from Feedback's left-side menu. The CEO Dashboard provides key insights and metrics for your Feedback account, allowing you to view the return on investment (ROI) and the impact it's having on your organization.
By default, the metrics are relevant to the last 30 days. You can change the date range using the dropdown menu in the top-right of the dashboard.
At the top of the graph, you can also filter the CEO dashboard by user type: All, Visitors (including prospects), and Internal Team.
The following metrics are included in the CEO Dashboard.
Engagement graph
The graph shows the following metrics over time: Votes, Prioritization, New Requests, Fulfilled Requests, and Viewed Requests. You can select any of these metrics to remove or add them back onto the graph.
Amount Saved and ROI
In the top right of the page is a box that displays the amount saved. This is the total amount of money you’ve saved as a result of using Feedback, which is calculated based on time savings, and assumes that time costs you $48 (USD) per hour. You can see the rate that these calculations are based on in the footer of the CEO Dashboard.
Directly below the amount saved information is return on investment (ROI) percentage. This is the overall return on investment from Feedback, which is calculated as: (money saved / feedback cost) x 100.
These metrics are calculated based on the estimated time allocated to the following actions: request views, votes, prioritization, emails and notifications, request comments, and requests submitted. For each metric, we use the time saved to calculate the cost savings, at a rate of $48 per hour. For example, every request you receive will save you approximately 15 minutes on average based on our calculations.
Action sections
Directly below the graph are sections displaying data for each action type your users perform in Feedback. Each action translates into time saved, which translates into money saved.
For example, every time a user votes on a request, your team is saving time (15 minutes on average) because:
- Your colleagues don’t have to go to the Product team to tell them what they want, or not tell them at all.
- Your visitors don’t have to go to their Customer Success Manager or the Support team to tell them what they want.
- Your Product, Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales teams are passively collecting data.
Each action section includes time and money-saved metrics. The total money saved is based on the sum of all the action sections. These are summarized in order from left to right, top to bottom.
The cost savings for all of the metrics are then totaled to calculate the total amount saved and the ROI percentage.
Request Views
Directly below the graph, starting from the left, is the request views section, which tells you how many views your requests have had in the selected time period.
Number of votes
The section to the right of request views, below the graph, shows you how many votes, either “I want this” or “Not interested” you have received on requests.
Prioritized Data Points
The section to the right of the number of votes tells you haw many times users have prioritized a request.
Emails and notifications
The section directly below request views tells you how many emails and notifications were sent from Feedback. This doesn’t include engagement emails or emails regarding forgotten passwords or login details.
Comments received
The section to the right of emails and notifications tells you how comments have been posted on requests.
Ideas Created
The last section, in the bottom-right corner of the page tells you how many requests have been created.
