Trends on event list pages (Pages, Features, and Track Events pages) highlight usage changes across your application. This data helps you quickly identify meaningful changes, such as spikes in engagement, sudden drop-offs, or unusual patterns in user activity.
Use trends to monitor shifts in behavior, investigate anomalies, and prioritize areas for deeper analysis. Select any trend to open the corresponding details page and view more context.
How trends work
Trends are automatically generated on Page, Feature, and Track Event list pages based on recent increases or decreases in activity. They refresh daily and when you change any filters on these pages.
All users have access to trend cards by default.
Examples of trends
Here are some examples of trends that may appear:
- Frustration indicators. Highlights Features with repeated or unresponsive interactions that could suggest user frustration, such as rage clicks, error clicks, or dead clicks. For more information, see Frustration indicators.
- Usage trending up. Surfaces Pages or Features with a significant rise in activity.
- Usage trending down. Shows Pages or Features with a recent drop in views or clicks.
These insights often include a specific metric, percent change, or volume change over multiple weeks, and may offer context or hypotheses about the shift. For example, an AI trend might suggest that a drop in Page views coincided with lower traffic across all Pages in that Product Area.
Use the thumbs up or down icons to rate each trend and help improve future quality.
Take action from trends
In the bottom-right corner of each trend, select the available follow-up action. Options include creating a feature launch dashboard template, creating a guide, watching a replay, or sharing the trend to Slack.
Sharing to Slack requires an admin to connect Slack to Pendo. For setup details, see Share signals to Slack.
