Introducing university to new system

We're currently considering using Adopt to introduce staff and students to a new system. (In our case, Blackboard Ultra). This would include a mini tour of the system. Has anyone done anything similar and would be willing to share their experiences?

We've done tours and my advice/lessons learned are:
1. Keep it to 5 steps or less -- if there's more to explore, break it into smaller tours that can be activated on different screens.
2. Use guide logic so steps are skipped automatically if the user "doesn't have access to the thing you're pointing out".
3. At the end, show users where they can go for more help or resources.
