What are your best practices for communication updates with customers?

  • As a Pendo user, we recommend using Guides to communicate important updates that your active users (or any segment) will want to know about. Make sure you set a threshold and a cadence to delineate which features are important enough to warrant interrupting a user's flow by publishing a guide, and ensure you're not bombarding your users with too many guides during a week / month. For smaller updates, consider using a Resource Center module, where your users can self serve to discover the latest news.

    To target inactive users and close the feedback loop, make sure you use status updates in Feedback when new features are launched. When you update a status in Feedback, any user who has voted for, or subscribed to, a feature request will receive an update via email, thereby inviting users back into your app who may otherwise not have logged in for a while.
