Overview of Pendo integrations

This article explains integrations functionality across Pendo, the different types of integrations available, and how to access them.

Integrations enable Pendo to connect with external systems, data sources, or workflows to share data or coordinate experiences across tools.

Integration categories

Integrations are categorized using the following labels. Use these labels to filter integrations in the marketplace.

• Chat. Integrations that connect Pendo with customer messaging tools.
• Connector. Third-party platforms that connect Pendo to other tools through automation or data pipelines. These require using the Pendo API.
• Data Destination (data out). Integrations that send Pendo data to an external tool, for example, to a data warehouse or to a Slack channel. Use data destination integrations to export Pendo data for reporting, activation, or analysis in other tools.
• Data Source (data in). Integrations that send data from an external source into Pendo, for example, importing visitor metadata from a CRM or sending product feedback into Pendo. Use data source integrations to enrich analytics with external data.
• Guides. Integrations that connect external tools and platforms with Pendo guides.
• Knowledge Base. Integrations that connect knowledge base providers with the Pendo Resource Center.
• User Management. Integrations that allow you to manage Pendo user access and permissions.

Some integrations support bi-directional data transfer, meaning data flows both into and out of Pendo. For example, you can sync visitor data between Pendo and Salesforce. Bi-directional integrations are labeled as both a data source and a data destination in the marketplace.

Build types

Each integration has a build type that describes who built and maintains it. Use the build type filter in the marketplace to narrow down results.

• Built by Pendo. Integration is built and maintained by Pendo.
• Built by Partner. Integration is built and maintained by the partner platform.
• Recipe by Pendo. Instructions provided for connecting Pendo to a third-party system using existing Pendo functionality.

You can also build your own custom integrations using one of the following:

Integrations marketplace

The integrations marketplace can be accessed from Settings > Integrations. This displays a list of out-of-the-box integrations available for your subscription. You can filter integrations by category and build type.

List of available integrations

Important: The Salesforce integration, Data Sync, API, Webhooks, and Twilio Segment webhooks are available as paid add-ons. Custom-built integrations using APIs and webhooks are priced separately. Certain Guides integrations require guide code blocks, which are included with Guides Pro. All other Pendo integrations are included with the Pendo platform or relevant Pendo module. To purchase a paid add-on, contact your Pendo account representative.
