Overview
You can configure your Listen feedback sources so that you receive updates in Slack whenever a new feedback item is submitted. Set up notifications on a source-by-source basis. Notifications can be sent to multiple channels within the same Slack instance.
This is a data-out integration with Slack, meaning data from Pendo is pushed to Slack. If you want to submit Slack messages to Listen as feedback, see Send feedback from Slack to Listen (beta).
Note: Feedback notifications in Slack don't support retroactive processing. Only feedback submitted after you enable the integration is sent to Slack.
Prerequisites
To set up the Listen notifications in Slack, you must have:
- Admin permissions in Pendo.
- Enabled the Send Pendo data to Slack integration in the integrations page. If you haven't done this, see Connect Slack to Pendo.
Send feedback responses to Slack
In Listen:
- Go to Listen > Listen settings > Feedback sources.
- In the sources table, find the source you want to receive Slack updates for.

In the Send to Slack column, select + Add channels to open the Set up Slack notifications modal.
- Select the Slack channel, or multiple channels, you want to send feedback to.
- Select Save.
Pendo sends new feedback submissions to the selected Slack channel. Members of the channel receive updates from the Pendo app, showing who submitted the feedback and what it contains. Members can select View feedback in Pendo to open the feedback item directly.
Manage Slack notifications
You can update the destination Slack channels for any feedback source at any time. To update the channels, select existing channel(s) in the sources table to open the Send to Slack modal, then add or remove channels from the list. Select Save.
To stop notifications for a specific source, remove all channels for that source in the sources table.
To stop all Listen feedback notifications, remove all channels from every source in the sources table.
Note: Turning off the Send Pendo data to Slack toggle in Settings > Integrations > Slack stops all outbound Slack data, including product signals digests and Agent Analytics digests, not just Listen feedback notifications.
