Listen settings

Note: All Listen users can view Listen settings, but not all users have permissions to make changes to the settings. To check your permissions, go to User profile > Permission levels.

Settings specific to Pendo Listen are located in Listen > Listen settings. Within the settings page, you can manage feedback sources, automation rules, statuses, the Jira integration with Listen, and email templates. Each setting is organized under its own tab.

Feedback sources

The Feedback sources tab displays all connected feedback sources from Pendo or external systems. You can connect a new feedback source and manage existing sources from this tab.

Automation rules

Use automation rules to manage how incoming feedback is categorized in Listen. Rules help you organize large volumes of feedback by setting conditions and actions based on metadata.

Statuses

Ideas and feedback items have statuses that can be customized to align with your organization's workflow. You can add, reorder, rename, and delete statuses.

Jira

Note: These settings are only available to subscription admins.

Set up and manage the integration between Listen and Jira. This keeps Jira issues in sync with related feedback or ideas from Listen, enabling smoother handoff between product and engineering teams. If you haven't connected your Jira instance to Pendo, you can set up the connection from this tab.

Email templates

Use email templates to create consistent responses when updating users about their ideas or feedback. Templates can include custom branding and tone, and are often used when users are notified of status changes.
