This article explains how to set Pendo Predict to push prediction alerts via Slack.
What you need to get started
- A Pendo Predict account
- A Slack Workspace account (you will need to have permission and availability for app integration on your Slack Workspace plan)
Step 1. Connect Pendo Predict to Slack
In Pendo Predict, go to the Sources tab
Select New Source, then choose Slack.
Enter a name that other users will recognize easily and click Next.
Choose the relevant Workspace and Click on Install Pendo Predict
After successful integration, Slack appears as a connected source in the Sources tab.
Step 2. Set Alert to Slack
- Login in to Pendo Predict
- Go to the Activation tab of the model you would like to set alerts for
Click on New Automation
Click on the Set button
Set the parameters for the Slack alerts:
- Destination Event
- Source - this will always be Slack
- Owner Field - choose the field in your data set that includes the email of the owner (ie. this is how we know which user in Slack should be alerted)
- People - use this to filter the owners to a specific set of individuals
- Trigger - set the trigger for the alerts
- Score - choose which scores will trigger an alert, for example only Excellent or Good
- Trend - choose which score trend will trigger an alert
- Scheduling - set the scheduling of the alerts
- Working days - the days in which alerts will be sent at
- Working day start/end at - the working hours in which alerts will be sent at
- Limit - set a limit for the number of alerts a user can receive in each model iteration
- Notification Message customization
- Message Prefix - set the alert message prefix, for example "New message from Pendo Predict". You can add parameters from the model's data set using '@'.
- Additional Fields - choose additional data points you would like the message to include
CRM object url prefix - add your CRM prefix to add a CTA that will review the relevant information in your CRM.
- Destination Event
Click Done and enable your automation by clicking on the on/off toggle
