Last updated:

This article explains how to connect your BigQuery instance to Pendo Predict so you can use it as a source when building predictive models.

Requirements

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • A Pendo Predict account
  • A BigQuery account

Step 1. Grant access to BigQuery

  1. Login to your Google Cloud account and navigate to the 'IAM' tab.

  2. Under 'PERMISSIONS' choose 'VIEW BY PRINCIPALS' and click on 'GRANT ACCESS'.

  3. A window will pop up on the right side of the screen:
    1. Under 'New Principals' add: bigquery@forwrd-ai-integrations.iam.gserviceaccount.com
    2. In the 'Assign Roles' section add the following roles: BigQuery Data Viewer and BigQuery User

  4. Press SAVE.

Step 2. Configure the connection in Pendo Predict

  1. In Pendo Predict, go to the Sources tab
  2. Select New source, then choose Big Query.

  3. Enter a name for the source that is easy for others to recognize, the relevant BigQuery Project ID and Region

  4. Log in to BigQuery when prompted.
  5. After the integration is complete, HubSpot appears as a connected source in the Sources tab.

Step 3. Manage the BigQuery source

As the owner of a data source, you can manage its access and ensure the connection is functioning correctly. This includes sharing the source with additional users and testing the connection.

  • To test the connection, select the ellipsis (three dots) icon, then choose Test connection.
  • To share the source, select the ellipsis (three dots) icon, then choose Share. When shared, other users can use the BigQuery source when building predictive models.
