Send Listen feedback to Microsoft Teams (beta)

Overview

You can configure your Listen feedback sources so that you receive updates in Microsoft Teams whenever a new feedback item is submitted. Set up notifications on a source-by-source basis. Notifications can be sent to multiple channels within the same Microsoft Teams tenant.

This is a data-out integration with Microsoft Teams, meaning data from Pendo is pushed to Microsoft Teams. If you want to submit Microsoft Teams messages to Listen as feedback, see Send feedback from Microsoft Teams to Listen.

Note: Feedback notifications in Microsoft Teams don't support retroactive processing. Only feedback submitted after you enable the integration is sent to Microsoft Teams.

Prerequisites

To set up Listen notifications in Microsoft Teams, you must have:

• Admin permissions in Pendo.
• The Send Messages to Microsoft Teams integration enabled in the integrations page. If you haven't done this, see Connect Microsoft Teams to Pendo.

Send feedback to Microsoft Teams

In Listen:

1. Go to Listen > Listen settings > Feedback sources.
2. In the sources table, find the source you want to receive Microsoft Teams updates for.

3. In the Send to Microsoft Teams column, select + Add channel to open the Set up Microsoft Teams notifications modal.

   

4. In the Channels menu, select the Microsoft Teams channel(s) you want to send feedback to. The menu shows standard and shared channels in public teams where the Pendo app is installed.
5. Select Save.

Pendo sends new feedback submissions to the selected Microsoft Teams channel. Members of the channel receive updates showing who submitted the feedback and what it contains. Members can select View feedback in Pendo to open the feedback item directly.

Manage Microsoft Teams notifications

You can update the destination Microsoft Teams channels for any feedback source at any time. To update the channels, select Manage channels in the sources table to open the Set up Microsoft Teams notifications modal, then add or remove channels from the list. Select Save.

To stop notifications for a specific source, remove all channels for that source in the sources table.

To stop all Listen feedback notifications, remove all channels from every source in the sources table.

Note: Turning off the Send Messages to Microsoft Teams toggle in Settings > Integrations > Microsoft Teams stops all outbound Microsoft Teams data, including survey responses and Agent Analytics digests, not just Listen feedback notifications.
