Pendo integrates with Microsoft Teams so your team can act on product data without switching tools. Use the integrations to surface usage signals, collect and route feedback, monitor survey responses, and ask questions about your product data, all from Microsoft Teams. You can enable each integration independently based on your team's needs.

Prerequisites
To connect Microsoft Teams to Pendo, you must have:
- Admin permissions in Pendo.
- The Teams Administrator role for your Microsoft tenant.
Any user in your Microsoft tenant can authorize the connection in Step 1, as it only requests basic sign-in information to identify your tenant. A Teams Administrator is required to install the Pendo app in Microsoft Teams in Step 2.
Step 1. Connect Microsoft Teams to Pendo
There are two ways to connect Microsoft Teams to Pendo. Your selection depends on your organization's permission requirements:
- Enable all: Connects all integrations using a single set of permissions. Any new Microsoft Teams integrations added in the future are available automatically.
- Enable individually: Each integration uses its own minimum set of permissions. Use this option if your organization restricts the permissions granted to third-party apps. New integrations require manual setup when added.
Note: Private channel support depends on the integration. When sending Pendo data to Microsoft Teams (such as signals, Agent Analytics digests, Listen feedback, or survey responses), you can choose standard or shared channels in non-private teams. Private channels and channels in private teams aren't supported for these integrations. However, Ask Pendo in Microsoft Teams, data-rich link previews, and sending Microsoft Teams messages to Listen also work in private channels.
To connect Microsoft Teams to Pendo using Enable all:
- In Pendo, go to Settings > Integrations.
- Select the Microsoft Teams tile.
- Select Enable all. This opens a new window showing the permissions required to connect Pendo to Microsoft Teams.

Sign in with your Microsoft account and grant consent for the Pendo app.
Important: You can only connect one Microsoft Teams tenant to a Pendo subscription.
- Review the permissions, then select Allow.
To enable each integration individually:
- In Pendo, go to Settings > Integrations.
- Select the Microsoft Teams tile.
- Select the toggle for the integration you want to enable. This opens a new window showing the permissions required for that integration.
- Sign in with your Microsoft account and select Allow.
After connecting, the following integrations are available in the tile:
- Ask Pendo in Microsoft Teams. Ask the Pendo agent questions about your product data from any channel, group chat, or direct message in Microsoft Teams. Requires Leo to be enabled on your subscription.
- Send Agent Analytics digests to Microsoft Teams. Automatically send a daily, weekly, or monthly digest of AI agent performance metrics to a Microsoft Teams channel. Requires Agent Analytics.
- Send survey responses to Microsoft Teams. Route new CSAT, PMF, UX-Lite, and NPS survey responses to Microsoft Teams channels, filtered by sentiment. Requires Sentiment.
- Send Listen feedback to Microsoft Teams. Receive updates in a Microsoft Teams channel when a visitor submits feedback through a Listen feedback source. Requires Listen.
- Share data-rich previews in Microsoft Teams. Displays previews of Pendo links shared in Microsoft Teams.
Step 2. Install the Pendo app in Microsoft Teams
Before your team can use features like Ask Pendo in Microsoft Teams, a Teams Administrator must install the Pendo app from the Microsoft Teams marketplace.
To send feedback to Listen, the app must also be added to each team you want to send feedback from.
Install the Pendo app for your organization
- In Microsoft Teams, go to Apps in the left navigation.
- Search for Pendo.
- Select the Pendo app and select Add to install it for your organization.
Add the Pendo app to a team
In Microsoft Teams, a team is a collection of channels. Installing the app for your organization doesn't add it to individual teams. When you add the Pendo app to one channel, it's available to every public channel in that team, Private channels must always add the Pendo app, regardless of whether sibling channels already have the app added or not.
To add the Pendo app to a team:
- In Microsoft Teams, go to Apps in the left navigation.
- Search for Pendo.
- Select Open.
- Search for the channel you want to add the app to, then select Go.
After the Pendo app is added to a team, members of that team's channels can use it by typing @Pendo in the message compose box and selecting the Pendo app from the suggestions list.
Note: Microsoft Teams does not support ephemeral messages. When the Pendo bot needs to authenticate a user's account, it sends the authentication prompt as a direct message (DM) rather than posting in the channel.
This authentication uses your subscription's OAuth maximum session length. For more information, see Subscription settings.
Step 3. Manage your Microsoft Teams connection
If you connected Microsoft Teams using Enable all, individual integration toggles are locked. To manage integrations independently, select Manage Features in the tile header.
To manage integrations independently:
- In Pendo, go to Settings > Integrations.
- Select the Microsoft Teams tile.
- Select Manage Features. This unlocks the individual toggles so you can turn each integration on or off.
- Select the toggle for each integration to enable or disable it.
Disconnect Microsoft Teams
To disconnect Microsoft Teams from Pendo entirely, select Disconnect in the tile. This removes the authentication and disconnects Microsoft Teams from your Pendo subscription. All Microsoft Teams integrations stop immediately.
