The Alerts tab shows mobile Pages and Features that have stopped collecting analytics and displaying guides.
Pendo proactively shows alerts for Pages and Features that might need verifying because of a new app version release or when a potential issue is identified. A Page or Feature might need to be updated because of changes to a Page’s title, structure, or custom attributes.
How alerts work
When a new version of your app is released, the rules that Pendo uses to identify a Page or Feature might have changed.
Pendo compares the Pages with no views or Feature clicks from your latest app version release to the same Pages or Features in previous app versions that had Page views or Feature clicks in the last 30 days.
Pages and Features showing this pattern of behavior are shown as an alert.
If a Page or Feature still shows in the Alerts list after it has been updated, this might be caused by an incorrect Page or Feature rule. To fix a Page, go to Manage Page > Page Rules and remove the Page Title Identifier. If the Page still shows in the Alerts list, you can contact Pendo Support.
Update Pages and Features
- Go to Product and select either Pages > Alerts or Features > Alerts.
- Hover over the Page row and select the camera icon to update it with the most recent app version.
- If you need to update the Page, select Update Page.
If Pendo identifies Features that need updating on this page, you receive an alert in the top right corner of the screen.
All Features that need to be updated on this page appear with an Update red button.
Note: You can also subscribe to be notified about Page and Feature alerts through email.
Alert table columns
- App. The app the Page belongs to.
- Type. The type of alert (Page or Feature).
- Name. The name of the affected Page or Feature.
- Last seen on version. The version of your app that Pendo last collected analytics on for the Page or Feature.
- Events on last seen version. Number of Page views or Feature clicks that Pendo logged for this Page or Feature in your 'last seen version'.
- Newest version. The app version we recognize as your newest. This is calculated by a logical count of the total number of visitors in the app, and in each version. The more visitors an app version has, the quicker it is identified as your newest version.
- Events on newest version. The number of views in the newest version of your app for this Page.
- Associated Guides. Guides that are associated with the affected Page or Feature.
