'Page Alerts' shows pages that have stopped collecting analytics and displaying guides.
We proactively show you pages that need checking as you release new versions of your app or when we identify a potential issue. Changes to a page’s title, structure and/or custom attributes are all reasons that you may need to update a page.
How do Page Alerts work?
When a new version of your app is released, the automatic rules Pendo uses to identify the page might have changed. This can result in no page analytics and in-app guides that are associated with the page not being displayed.
To help you quickly identify these cases, Pendo analyzes all pages showing no page views in your newest app version and checks to see if you did have views for those pages in the last 30 days. Pages showing this pattern of behavior are shown as a ‘Page Alert’.
Simply review the Page Alert and ‘Update Page’ to capture the new page structure. Once this is done, analytics and guides associated with the page will display as normal.
What do the columns means?
Name: Name of the affected page
App: The app the page belongs to
Last seen on version: The version of your app that Pendo last collected analytics on for this page
Views on last seen version: Number of page views Pendo logged for this page in your 'last seen version'
Newest version: The app version we recognize as your 'newest'. This is calculated by a logical count of the total number of Visitors in the app, and in each version. The more Visitors an app version has, the quicker it would be identified as your 'newest version'.
Views on newest version: Number of views in the newest version of your app for this page
How to Update a Page
1. Go to Pages > Page Alerts tab.
2. Hover over the page row and click on the camera icon to update the page. Make sure you have the updated app version installed on your device!
3. If you need to update the page, simply click ‘Update Page’ to recapture it.
I updated the page, but it's still showing in the Page Alerts list
This might be caused by an incorrect Page Rule. Try going to Manage Page > Page Rules tab and remove the Page Title Identifier. If the page still shows under the 'Page Alerts' tab after you’ve done this, please contact support.
