View PES data on dashboards

Last updated:

The Product Engagement Score (PES) dashboard widget lets any Pendo user view PES data on a dashboard. You can add the widget multiple times with unique names, date ranges, segments, apps, and accounts set for each version of the widget.

With these filters, you can create a dashboard showing the PES for different segments like account tiers and custom date ranges to assess PES quarter over quarter, monitor PES changes before and after major releases or events, or monitor critical accounts each broken down by app.

This gives you a holistic view of product engagement across your apps and user groups, which you can use to monitor and investigate your best and worst performing areas.

  1. To add the widget to a dashboard, navigate to the dashboard, then select + Add Widget in the top-right corner of the page.
  2. Select Product Engagement Score (PES) from the list of available widgets.

  3. Update each field to your preference.
    • Name. Display name of the widget as it appears on your dashboard.
    • Date Range. Time period where event usage is measured.
    • Segment. Users included in the analysis for usage data. Larger segments generally result in less variable data.
    • App. App queried for product usage data and PES configuration.
    • Account. Accounts included in the analysis for usage data.
  4. Select Save to add the widget to your dashboard.

Once saved to your dashboard, the PES widget supports drilldown analytics for each component. Select a data point to see the drilldown data for your PES score using the filters set in the widget. For more information about PES component scores and drilldowns, see Product Engagement Score (PES).

If you're a Pendo Admin, you can also Manage PES from the widget. When selected, the PES configuration applies at the app level. If you change it from the widget, it changes the PES for that app for everyone in the subscription everywhere that PES is visible.
