What's new in Sentiment

Last updated:

These release notes provide a list of changes in Sentiment that affect you as they occur, so you can learn about recent changes before referencing the relevant documentation.

May 2026

Send survey responses from a Sentiment survey to Listen

You can now send text responses and ratings from any Sentiment survey type (NPS, CSAT, PMF, and UX-Lite) to Listen as feedback items. Previously, only NPS responses could be sent to Listen. Each survey type appears as its own source in your feedback views and filters, and the original numerical rating is stored alongside each imported feedback item. For more information, see Send survey responses to Listen.

March 2026

Add and reorder survey questions

You can now add new questions and reorder non-essential questions in PMF, CSAT, and UX-Lite surveys. When editing a survey, you can add open answer, rating scale, or multiple choice questions, and use drag and drop to reorder them. Questions that determine the overall survey score remain fixed and can't be moved or removed. This allows you to tailor surveys to your specific feedback needs while maintaining consistent scoring. For more information, see Create a PMF survey, Create a CSAT survey, or Create a UX-Lite survey.

Publish surveys through an extension app

You can now publish Sentiment surveys within extension apps, allowing you to collect feedback directly within extension-based products. For more information about extension apps, see Add extension apps.

February 2026

Remove open-ended survey questions

You can now remove open-ended feedback questions from PMF, CSAT, and UX-Lite surveys. This allows you to create surveys focused on collecting scores without asking for written feedback. Surveys without an open-ended feedback question won't receive an AI-generated summary in the Insights tab. For more information, see Create a PMF survey, Create a CSAT survey, or Create a UX-Lite survey.

Clone surveys

You can now clone a survey from the Surveys table or within the survey editor. Cloning preserves the survey's questions and settings. By default, the new survey has Draft status. For more information, see Manage a survey.

January 2026

UX-Lite surveys are available

You can now create User Experience Lite (UX-Lite) surveys in Sentiment to measure usability by asking two standardized questions about usefulness and ease of use, with an optional open-ended feedback question for gathering additional context. Results are calculated as a normalized score and displayed alongside responses in Sentiment, helping you assess usability and track changes over time. For more information, see User Experience Lite (UX-Lite) surveys.

Enhancements to survey layout customization

You can now customize the layout of survey questions for PMF, CSAT, and UX-Lite surveys. When building a survey, you can choose to display all the questions on a single page or split them across multiple steps. You can also remove the "Thank you" message and update the survey theme directly within the editor. For more information, see Create a PMF survey.

December 2025

Sentiment is now available

The Sentiment product is a new central hub for all survey functionality in Pendo. In addition to creating and managing NPS surveys, paid subscriptions can now create Product-Market Fit (PMF) and Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) surveys. This provides a single location for overseeing all surveys, where you can extract customer insights and take meaningful action based on defined, industry-standard metrics.

The new Sentiment navigation replaces the previous NPS-only entry point and provides a consistent workflow for building, scheduling, and analyzing survey results. Free subscriptions continue to view and have access to NPS only. For more information, see Overview of Sentiment in Pendo.
