Guide experiment control groups in funnels
When adding a guide event as a funnel step, you can designate the Not seen option for the control group if the guide has a guide experiment set up. This allows you to track conversion metrics for visitors assigned to the control group within a guide experiment. By selecting the Not seen option, you can accurately measure the impact of the guide experiment on user behavior, as it allows you to compare the conversion rates of visitors who haven't been exposed to the guide against those who have in a different funnel. For more information, see Funnels.
April 2024

When grouping by event properties or historical metadata, the grouping only applies to the first step of the funnel. For more information, see Funnels.
Filter by event properties in funnels
You can now filter individual funnel steps by event properties and historical metadata, providing a more granular view of conversion rates. For example, you can filter by a custom click event property to see how many visitors submitted a form with a specific value, or analyze conversion rates specific to different types of customers, such as paid or premium package users, by filtering with historical metadata. You can now hover over charts in the following places to view trending information for the previous datapoint: Visitors and Accounts Overview pages; Page, Feature, and Track Event details pages; and the Total Time on App Per Week, Weekly Accounts, and Weekly Visitors dashboard widgets. These tooltips help provide context and clarity, empowering you to make informed decisions based on the latest trends. In instances where the trending information is "undefined", this indicates that the previous value was 0.

Descending bar charts in Data Explorer
Bar charts in Data Explorer now display in descending order based on the Summary values in the breakdown table. Historical metadata
Historical metadata is now generally available for all Pendo subscriptions. When you update your visitor and account metadata as historical metadata, you can see the metadata values at the time they were stored for each event. This provides a more accurate view of user activity and allows you to track changes in behavior over time, rather than only seeing the value recorded on the latest event. For more information, see Historical metadata.
